Will 2 X 150 maby 250 watt infrared heat lamps be any good for growing? or I might be able to fit another 150 - 250 floresence bulb also or do you think it would be best maby to have 2 floresent lamps and 1 infrared XD this is gonna be a very small grow probs about 4 plants each box.... if I make more than 1 O_O

I dontg think heat lamps would be good. I dont know but I think you would FRY them to a crisp ... I dunnno I wountnt do it

No. Heat lamps are good for heat and that is it. They do not grow shit.

Go to a hydro store and buy a switchable ballast and hood and bulbs (MH & HPS).

Anything else is a waste of money.

wont floresent lighting be ok? say if I use 2 X 250 watt bulbs say an inch and a half away from the plant I thought might work.... I am only thinking small as I want literally to be able to get up to maby half ounce on each havest from all 4 plants thats like 3.5 gram of bud per plant I am hoping for which would be ok or better if more! and with the clippings I hope to make solid O_O

Or you can go to a lighting store..., lamps, chandeleres, bulbs, etc, and get a 200 watt cool flourescent bulb or a couple of them. They run about 10-15 bucks. They will screw into any lamp fixture. These lights will work great for cloning, and vegging for the first couple weeks of growth. This is the cheaper way to get started. By 3-4 weeks into your grow you should have saved up and purchased that ballast, hood, and MH/HPS bulb. Will run about 125.00 buck-a-roos.

I think you mean (2) 25 watt bulbs and not 250 watt bulbs ? The more watts the better and watch the heat and jungle of wires if you go floros. This is why one HID (high intensity discharge) light is best. It is one light and provides better results.

I will have a look round for 2 200 watt cool flourescent bulbs and then search the house for fittings... shouldnt be to hard then say in a few weks times put my pennys towards a HID light... can it be aflood light like the ones people have in there garden?
