i have scoured through journals and have been reading information on here for the last 2 months..I have so much respect for you guys that's doing it...
I am a first time grower and this is what I have - 2 a.o. smith bath exhaust fans(which I have a pic of doesn't show cfm's) 2 4ft t12 2 bulb fluorescents,
pvc pipes, a tall cabinet and 8 sockets for cfl's. I want this cab to be my veg cabinet( I have a basic design of it by the bath fan)

I also have flora series 3 part ph up and down,for flowering a 1000w hps, i have built my carbon scrubber( haven't put the carbon in yet) I figured I can build the rest of my flower cab as I veg

My first question is are the fluorescents strong enough to produce a good foundation for my plants to be flowered?

My second question- is the design for my veg cab effective?

3rd question....even thou it doesn't show the cfm's ...anybody think that this fan is powerful enough to exhaust fluorescents

I have 300 dollars to spend and i want my veg cab to be as perfect as possible also if u see a way i can also purchase some things for flowering please let me know.....( i already know 40.00 is going to a tdc pen)

How big is your flowering area? 1000w might be too much. Personally I would use a 400w for veg if you are going to flower under a 1000w.

my flowering area will be either 4x4 of 4.5x4.5

cfls are very effective for vegging
so im pretty sure youre set there
about the flowering light
1000watts
jesus thats strong... maybe 400 watts for less energy consumption

thanks alot...but the 1000w is the only light i have for flowering ...i'm really not worried about the power consumption because of my reading i will be sure not to overload the circuit.

I have 400w hps bulbs and 150whps bulbs just not the ballast for them......
been trying to find cheap ballast I can get for the bulbs just figured i will use what i have for now

also sorry about the sketch but the two rectangles on the side r representing the t12's running vertically

floro's and cfls will work perfect for veging , keep them close so your plants dont streach and bam you got bushy plants that will explode when you throw them into flowering. i looked at the design for a second and it looks good at first glance. if you have any more specific questions ill try to answer the best i can

also floro's dont get that hot as long as your cycling the air(atleast once every 1-3 mins) you should be fine... 2 computer fans would do the job well..any other fan(inline) should be good enough if not overkill

also mabe just leave the clones and the mothers in the same chamber and give yourself more height... plus only have to regulate 1 enviornment
