Clones Question???

I'll prefice this by saying I have no experience with clones... However, other threads have led to me to believe that early on clones will grow very slowly and even yellow as they are converting all energy into growing roots. Once the roots are setting in, the clones should grow at a normal pace under your grow conditions for a plant of that size which was started by seed. I hope this helps, and I'm sure experienced clone growers will correct me if I'm wrong on this one.

Once the roots have grown the pace will be the pretty much same, but the plant will just look different, but not in a bad way. The big advantage to cloning is that this way you can easily find out who has a dick and who doesnt, and you can flower with smaller clones other than small seedlings

I have a question about clones???

What is the average length of clones taken from mother plant or any plant?

I was thinking any where between 3" an 5". I was thinking of creating a bubbler cloning bucket, which will hold 1 gallon of water. And really need to know how far above the water level should the clone cut be? I was thinking about 1/2", the will be held in place by 1 1/4" diameter X 3/4" heighth rockwool.

But the tip of the cut is the info i was really need in my design?

if all works out well i will give detailed info on how to create!

clones can be taking at any hight...the bigger the clone..the faster it will turn into a biger plant in the in... if you are making a cloning unit...having the end of the stems in the water is all you in...make sure theres pleny of O2..... and if there just going into rockwool..watch out cuz they over water too easlyer...why not just get some cloning gel and jiffy cubes...works for me and i jsut cut 240 of them...

Hey stealth, welcome RIU.
I don't use a bubbler at the moment, I use an el-cheapo jiffy pot cloner container with rapid rooters coco cubes, cloning gel and clean ph 6.5 water. Oh yeah, and a heating mat :leaf:. However, in order to find most of the answers you're looking for, check out the FAQ :leaf:.
