And I remember reading that MG(miracle grow) was a no no. I mean as of right now this is the only solution and Liquid All Purpose plant food(high with nitrogen) was also bought. Some feedback would be swell.

MG soil is fine if you have to use it. Just different timing as far as nutes go.

I am in my 9th week of flowering with MG and except for the unexplained loss of just one plant from 20 am doing just fine. I also used 'Shultz liquid plant food plus' at 10-15-10 for flowering. during vegging I used MG (the blue stuff) powdered plant booster at a ratio of 24-8-16. Out of 20 baggie seeds I have 4 ladies who are just a few weeks away from harvest. you have to be careful with added nutes since MG soil is loaded with extra nutes and fertz, but it still works.

MG KICKS BOOTAY!! use it but dont abuse it. theyll get burnt.
