With one plant just peaking outta the soil should it get light 24h a day or should it get 18h of light and 6h of dark? Someone I talked to said that they should always get light untill you want to sart blooming them.

Well this is all a matter of personal preference. I myself veg at 18/6 I have however have vegged at 24 hours of constant light until I changed to 12/12 for flowering and the only difference I noticed was a increase in my utility bills. In the end this is all up to you. I recommend 18/6.

I totally agree with bigballin007, I try to mimick mother nature, I think you'd be hard pressed to improve on her.

I vegged at 24 hours and then switched to 12/12 to flower... I only kept mine on 24 hours though as i was growing in my garage during winter and it helped keep the temperature up...

If you're in a warm climate then I'd do 18/6 and then switch to 12/12

hi every one i have a 3 week old plant and its about 1ft and i am giving it 24 hour light is that to much light please get back as i am realy keen to find out

24 or 18 will both work fine, if there is a difference i doubt you will notice. Some people say more light the better, some people say the plants like the rest they get, the only real difference it will make is in your electric bill. There is no such thing as too much like while vegging.

I am currently growing several strains from seed.....and all have had 24 hr florescent since hatching a month ago. Doing great!
