can i grow start to finish with 1000w hps light?

absolutely, if you have no choice but to use one type of lamp thru a grow hps is the one to go with, it still holds some blue spectrum, at the beginning of this grow i,m doin now I had only hps and I really got some beautiful plants you can see them on the beginning of my thread called a new toy i made its a good indicator of what i,m sayin,

A lot of people have vegged with HPS. I do it. You can really see that bulb work well during flowering.

your plants are gonna stretch like a mufuka while in the seedling stage so if you could get them to 4-6" with a cheap cheap cfl/fluro set up that'd be best. From what I've read, all HPS has a lower yield than MH/HPS but more than just cfl/fluro so go for it

yea i will have a in line duct fan also so mabe it will keep the heat down and i can keep the light closer to them
