Repetitive Problem!! HELP!!!!

So I have tried growing twice and have the same problem both times. I germinated both times flawlessly. After crack I put the seed in the red party cup with holes in the bottom, filled with Miracle-Gro seed starter potting mix. They sprout, i have no problems until about a week later and it all goes to hell. They start to droop and shrivle up. I think it might be overwatering, I have been watering almost 2-3 tmes a day because the soil gets SO dry so i figure the plant is too, right? My set up (which is made for the first month) is a big tub, painted white on the inside. Holes for the fan, and a hole up top where i have 2 CFL's hung with the socket and the metal lamp thing about 1 inch away from the plant. They start getting all shrivled up so I moved the lights to about 6 inches away cuz I'm not sure if it's the water or light. The other thing that MAY have an impact is that i put a drop of superTHRIVE in a gallon of distilled h2o, and it is from that water that i use to water the plant. I also spray it once a day with seltzer water for the co2. Someone please help me out cuz this is getting really frustraiting, i just wanna get this thing on its feet so I can enjoy my my own hmgrwn!

Don't water them for a couple of days. They don't need additional co2 at this point. Misting is good .

did u put your finger under the soil to see if it was wet underneith? sounds like over watering. ive never heard anything good about miracle gro for ganj.. try using topsoil mixed with perlite it wont dry up too quick. and with your halide right on the plants im surprised your house didnt catch on fire. sounds like your scorched them with fury and then flood the roots and force them to drink u cant treat them like slaves.. treat them like children that u like. or puppies. browse the forums for indoor growing and basic growing you'll find a lot of information that can help you start and finish your quest.

(i miss read your post thought u said halide 1 inch away)

i wouldent use miracle grow if i were you mate... shit doesent work... does exactly what u did... MAKE a mix of

Perlite 15%
Potting Soil 60%
Worm Castings 10%
Building Sand 10%
Premix 5%

and then Buy Nutrients like BC grow BC Bloom BC micro... doesent matter who makes em just ask around for the best type of nutrients

OK, so I'm gunna lay off the lighting and watering a lil and seeing where that'lll take me. I got another seed germinating just in case, cuz I have a bad bad feeling about my little dying plant. This time ill trying using the soil mixture instead of miracle gro. Should i cut out that superTHRIVE?

Don't lay off the light. Cfl's need to be close to the plants. I keep mine about 1" above my plants. If you don't they will stretch to reach it if you can get them out of the overwatering shock. Stretching can cause weak stems and unhealthy plants don't need anymore problems.

I have always used Miracle grow mositure control mix for my soil grows always works good.I might lay off the watering cycle some 2-3 a days seems wayy to much.I like to use a soil moisture tester or something similar.Water once then you can guage from cup weight and stick a finger into the soil at worst case scenerio.Keep the floros right at top of plant so it doesnt stretch.Mist the seddling few times aday and top of soil that should be the most between watering days.A humidity dome may help too

k the mix i gave him... vs mircle grow... use the mix mircle grow is good but you gotta maintain alot of shit mate... he is new to this game

Where do you get the premix from, who stocks it and where?
