Hi

I was just wondering if these bud sites look as if they are progressing as they should be, its just i haven't seen any as quite as small for the length of time my plant has been in 12/12.

I am using a 150w hps for flowering and i would say that they are roughly 25-30 days into flower.

Any help comments or observations would be hugely appreciated.

well i have my grow in my closet which is about 1 1/2 metres by 1 1/2 metres and about 4 ft in height, i have an osculating fan blowing on the plant 24 hours and my source of light is a 150w hps, which is hanging about 1/2 foot away from the top of the plant, i only have one plant in there at the moment, as this is my first grow and is more of learning process than anything else, i also have the walls covered in mylar.

i started using a 200w envirolite and moved to the hps once i put in 12/12.

Would it be possibe to put the envirolite in there too or would that make the heat soar.....CFLs are a good choice to help out your hid, you might want to try something like that, just make sure you control your heat.................

Is your 150w HID the general grow room type? Or is it the less expensive, commercial light for home/stadium/building use, with a home made ballast maybe? If it's the grow room type, how about a home made cooltube, and then adding the 200 watt, and then mount that with its own exhaust as well. That's if you would need a cooling system for that also. You wouldn't need to cover the bulb entirely, just angle it so that it pulls air through the bulb from its base.

yes the hps is a grow room type cost me £80 with reflector, i was considering putting the 200w cfl in with it, the temp shouldn't be an issue as i have decent ventilation the temp at the moment is a stable 76 and rarely goes above that.

the only thing putting me off is that the cfl is in the blue spectrum and the lady in the hydroponics shop where i bought it from told me not to use along side the hps for flowering as this could cause stress to the plant?

Im using 2 400w mh (blue spectrum) bulbs with 1 400w hps light and I havent had nuthin but nice buds....................................... ...........................

right well i think i will give it a go!

like i said this 1st grow is for me to learn as much as possible before i start on my jackie white seeds i just got from paradise.
