When should I top and tie down my plants??

Hi this is my first grow my plants are 21 days old today I was hoping to get some advice on when to top and tie down my plants I am using 2 300w cfl lights my plants at berry bomb Indica/Sativa (Indica dominant) I'm am growing them in a ebb and flow set up and my growing medium is coco fibre and clay pellets any help is much appreciated

Start straps asap gets em used to manipulation. When you have 5 nodes you can top. Lookin good

Thanks for the advice I will do that today, would cotton be ok to tie them down

I use 18g thermostat wire make bends where you want them and loosely wrap. Holds shape/position no dicken around with knots.

Cotton string?.... would b fine...they're kinda short n stout to b tying down tho...I'd top then wait a week or so n when the new shoots get tall enuf start bending over

They look awesome tho...healthy n strong little plants....they should respond well to training

ready for topping , if you want branch's to LST in the next 3 weeks . the book will tell you to wait till 5th internode to top but its not totaly try. And as far as that goes how many mains do you want or are you going for a bush? I use the Uncle Ben teq for 4 main colas then lots of LST'ing from there after 2 weeks or so,but i veg for 8 weeks max,im on a cycle .

They are pretty short I will try topping them first then see what the look like thanks, I'm a bit paranoid like but it needs to be done thanks
