Which species holds up best in HOT!! and low quality outdoor environment?

I have an issue. I live in Texas, and i am limited to some "bad" areas for my outdoor grow.


I am looking for a species of plant, that holds up in Very hot environments, i need a very resilient plant!

So if someone could give a newbie some advice on the proper species, that would be great!


So my question is has anyone had a good experience in the past with hot weather, and good plant yield?

thanks for the responses, im thinking im going to go with sativa. Durban poison, specifically.
