first timer cfl tips Advice welcome kush/lsd anyone tell me which one?

More lights would be good though, as they're stretching a little

CFLs or any fluorescent light for that matter need to be close to provide good strong light, 2-4 inch`s away they seems to give best light and also allow for some growth, at 4-10" they still give out ok light according to my light meter but around 12" my meter don't even give a reading, artificial light loose its strength a lot over a short distance, even big HID light`s, nothing can compare to the Sun.

Theres nothing to tell from the pictures, they are too blurry. The others are right, the lights are too far away. Get the CFLs within just a few inches of the tops. Also, looks like you might not have drainage holes in some of your containers. You need those or else the roots will be swimming in water.

Looks like youre losing a lot of light. Any reason you dont have some kind of reflector on those bulbs? Soda cans cut in half work well.

I compensate for the light loss w extra bulbs...I'm sure reflectors wouldn't hurt but I doubt reflected cfl light matters much anyway since the bulbs are only good at a few inches away....thats with direct light...reflected cfl light from even more inches away is way over rated in my opinion....my buds are like rocks n frosty as hell....the product doesn't seem like it was short on light....1355883283839.jpg1355931607805.jpg1358341221425.jpg1356353098940.jpg....I have white walls

I'm not sure that'll work....ur gonna need more lights n ur gonna have to keep em closer....ur plants will never produce under those conditions.

Well they are streched alot. The CFL bulb should be at 5-6 cm from the plant. It depends how hot it is. You need at least 2 CFL at 5-6 cm per plant. And get some mylar or something reflective around them. Do not use aluminium foil.
