Default get your lights as close as possible...
use the hand test, put your hand on the top of your plant, move the light till your hand feels comfortably warm but not hot. Use a fan on the stems to strengthen them, make sure you bury the stems right up to first set of leaves to minimize stretch. Keep your temp at around 75-80F your humidity between 40-70% keep your lights on 24/7 or at least 18 on/ 6 off during vegging. No nutes or ferts for first 3 weeks, water every 3-4 days. these are optimal conditions, feel free to 'fudge' around until it feels right for you and your ladies. My room is about 75F and 40% humidity. I use tubed flouros at no more than 2" off plant tops and am into my 27th day of flowering so have my lights set at 12/12
