ok im starting up my process for the first time and i have a good mix of perlite, vermiculite, and a little peat moss. i also have so earthworm castings which my friend told me are good to use. my question is.... should i mix in the castings before i plant the plant, (it is already about 5inches tall) or should i put it in the ground then add castings later. Thanks for the help this forum is soooo helpful to a new grower.

Yes Mix With Dirt...........also After In.....make Tea.......wt,nutes,tea..all Mixed Togethier...castings Are A Killer No Burn Nitro...makes Green..dbb.

also use 1 tablespoon of dolomite/garden lime per gallon of mix you will need the calcium and magnesium... I used almost the same mix as you minus the lime and I"m trying to fix a cal/mag deficiency as I write this. I mix the worm castings in with the soil.

Soil, peat free, perlite and gravel

50% soil 35% perlite 15% gravel

i alos addec lay pebbles, vermiculite,

if u can add some worm castings
