I am about to try out fox farm ocean forrest for the first time, and I wanted to know if 50/50 FF/perlite would be good for a outdoor grow? is that to much perlite? also, with FF, would the best nutes be FF nutes?

thats a good amount of perlite...bigmike taught me about a soil mix where you use the bag of ocean forest a bag of perlite and a bag of scotts top soil mix all together then you have a good blend and lotsa soil...i use FF nutes good to me
EDIT yeah my bad i forgot about you doing it outdoor that was for an indoor blend...

Don't go crazy with perlite..
but many factors do come in to consideration..
location, shady area, how often you water,, etc....
fox farm is usually good as is.... I mix my own dirt for outside...
horse and cow shit with free dirt from shitter plant. plus my own
blend, but that's the jist of it.

what about tilling the FF into regular soil? would that work or would it delute it too much? cuz if it did, i could plant more plants with less soil

i use fox farms pottin soil mix..i mix 20% perlite to soil..drains well!..i also added some earthworm castings to my mix.. i use fox farm nutes too..grow big for vegg. and bloom big for flowering.works well for me!
