    Default Stealth Grow

Hi Guys! I've been lurking these forums for a few months now and I just made an account and this new first post thread to ask about my idea of a stealth box. Here's the problem: I live in the dorms at college and it seems to be dry/overly expensive here and I wanted to attempt to grow in my closet.. 2-3 plants at a time with CFL's and a drip hydroponics system. Not sure if this is a good idea, also very apprehensive of fire hazard/starting it. I'm actually not worried at all about getting caught (still taking many precautions), but a de-odorizor is a must. Mostly I'm looking for support to start, and ideas on fitting an ultra-stealth grow box in a space of: depth 20" x height 60" x width 25" I have read a lot of the stickies but I'm still not sure how to start it or if it's even a good idea. Responses appreciated!

This gave me a great idea to integrate the Upper lighting system into a pulley system to easily adjust the lights as the plants grow. I'm using the closet, so the pole for hangers will be perfect for that; I want to have lights on the sides as well.. So CFL's are generally safe in a smaller space while growing?

What types of strains/kinds grow outward rather than upward? I may have an issue with the height of the plant.

Indicas tend to grow shorter than Sativas. You have ample space for probably three and maybe even four plants. To best efficiently use your space, you will need to top, FIM and/or LST to get the plant to grow more bushy as opposed to vertically. You also need to deal with odour and will have to get a carbon filter. Plants also need more than just light and water - they need CO2. You will have to figure out a way to get some decent air circulation in order to replace the stale air. The other thing to consider is that if you started on December 1 lwith seeds, you may not get a harvest until April or even May. Figure on 8 weeks from seed to flower and another 10 weeks of flowering time. That probably takes you to mid-April. Then you have to add a week to dry it and couple weeks to cure it. Now you're probably into May - so you'll have the fruits of your labour just in time to go home for the summer.

This is interesting.. so what would someone say is a great auto-flowering strain with short-grow time?
