will swapping from 600 hps to 250 grow light during seed stress it out and kill it ?

OK so I have germinated 5 sweet deep grapefruit seeds 38 hour now in cup of water they have all popped and root showing

I have a 600 hps set up I usually get clones of a buddy so don't have a grow room just yet but have a 250 grow light

First thing is do I have to keep it in darkness till it starts to stem grow out of the jiffy cube ? Or just go straight in to 18/6??

And just to save energy could I put it in the room with the 600 hps then after 12 hour put it in to a closet or grow room with the 250 cfl grow light for the next 6 hours ???

Or is that a silly idea the 2 different spectrums will kill the plant of stress it out ????? Its all about saving money

silly, what I would do, is to use the 250W in Veg and swarp once you begin 12/12

safe you some power and bulb, small plants in Veg don't need more .. to make it optimal use a 250W MH instead of HPS if you have it/can run it ..

I use T5HO tubes to Veg mine with before I trow them in under the 600W HPS

its gone up in price since i got mine but you cant beat how well the plants veg under this light,, home depot 99.98 just type in grow light

YOU CAN JUST USE A 23W CFL OR ANY LIGHT to keep them in veg, so taking clones from flower to another room will work. I do this with my veg plants outside right now.I just turn my garage light on, and put my plants in there, to keep them in veg--DON'T TURN OFF THE LIGHT!!

i have plants growing in my flowering room already . just want to know if i put seedlings in the 600 what hps room for 12 hour then put them to a room with the 250 grow light for the other 6 hour . i know it sounds silly and will have both rooms running soon

will that work or mess up the seedlings ?

if not ill just have the 250 grow on 18 hour ,

just trying to me a tight ass i suppose

give them all the light you got until they get too big to haul back and forth
