Cardboard Box 18/6 Fluros

Hey guys, hope you can help me with this question.

I have an 12/12 room for my grow, but now i need to build an 18/6 only for germinating and clonning.

The big question is, can i do it with a cardboard box and a Florous?

I´ve build a cardboard box with a florous on top and 2 holes on sides. Tested it with a germinated seed but when the seed sprouted it stunted.

Could it be for lack of Ventilation?

last thing you want is to come home to a pile of ash i made my box out of a old dresser and old fans i had laying around very simple you can find free dressers on craigslist and places like that they work great for small grows
