    Default Re-filling Foothill Carbon Scrubber

    Hello,

I have purchased a 6" x 18" carbon scrubber second hand on eBay. I was wondering if anyone could send me a link to the correct carbon pellets to re-fill this thing with. Also, I'd like to know exactly HOW to re-fill this carbon scrubber. Has anyone ever had any experience with this unit?

    Thanks!

Well, what do you re-fill it with? Probably the water activated carbon, that won't work with these I don't think. It has to be air activated virgin carbon pellets. But not many places sell that online unless you are buying like 90 lbs. This is why I was asking for some help!

Also...how the hell do you open these units up to replace the carbon?

at my local "walmart" they cost like 8-15$ depending on type (go for the biggest once or them two packets as they will give you most carbon)

    then strip em appart

I use the correct carbon, sold a HTGSupply and others. The refill carbon is crappy carbon, period. Phresh filters uses a better grade of carbon but it doesn't appear to be available for sale seperately.

If the filters don't have screws at the ends of the units, you need to drill out the metal plugs and replace them with screws after you fill them. It's easy to do and no big deal, unless you don't own a drill.
