After i plant a seed should i give it light or wait till it sprouts?

i usually germinate the seed, plant it. Leave it in the dark until i see the first green leaves then you should put them under floros until they establish roots and then MH for grow and HPS for blooming.

so think you should wait until you see green before turning on the light.
