the fan leaves on my stock? im in my ffifth week of flowering 400whps vented hood.
the leaves right off the stock seem useless as i have colas left and right with big fan leaves. when do i cut the huge ones of the stock?
Those leaves are the solar panels for the plant! Only remove dead/nearly dead leaves.
That must be one of the most popular questions here!
Everybody will either say yes or no, but I have read more 'no' than 'yes'.
I made the mistake of cutting only 3 or 4 of mine before I found this site, and I did see a difference in the plant's growth!
Keep whatever fan leaves you have - they are like the solar panels to keep the plant producing buds!
awesome. i just see all these plants with only fan leaves off colas and the stocks are zipped tight and clean. just colas
Pinch off the ones at the bottom. Helps vent throughout the canopy and stops your plants from wasting its energy on those leaves not needed. Will help with bud growth.
As far as the leaves near your buds on the top, I would not touch.
I'd imagine you know this already though.
They're doing just fine... relax and knock them off when they are ready to fall of with just a little flick.
