1 ounce stalk in brownies?

Ok... I have a half ounce bag of stems/seeds, another half of bud, and a 1 ounce stalk that is about 3-4 months old off a decent female plant.

My question is does the stalk still have enough thc to make a batch of brownies that requires one stick of butter (1/4 lb)?

It's my understanding that bud stems have a fair amount of THC, but I'd be willing to bet that the stalks don't. Here's my reasoning, that the stalks are used by the plant to transport water/nutes to all the growing areas of the plant. So I wouldn't think there would be much resin or THC in them. If they did, then wouldn't there be resin and trichomes on stalk?

Anyone else with any ideas?

No man don't use anything but bud, or really good sweet leaf trimmings for brownies.

Yeah toss the stems and stalks. Keep the seeds if you want to grow them, and use the pure bud for brownies.

Stems and stalks do not have thc

Variations by Plant Part The concentration of cannabinoids depends on the plant part, or more specifically, the concentration and development of resin glands to plant part. The female flower bracts have the highest concentration of resin glands and are usually the most potent plant parts. Seeds and roots have no resin glands. These shoe no more than traces of canninbinoids. Smoke seeds will give you a headache before you can get high. If you got high on seeds, then there were probably enough bracts adhering to the seeds to get you high
On the right are the potencies, in descending order, of the various plant parts

Female flowering clusters. In practice you don't separate hundreds of tiny bracts to make a joint. The whole flowering mass (seeds removed), along with small accompanying leaves, forms the material.
Male flower clusters. These vary more in relative potency depending on the strain (see "Potency by Sex," below).
Growing shoots. Before the plants flower, the vegetative shoots (tips) of the main stem and branches are the most potent plant parts.
Leaves (a) that accompany flowers (small); (b) along branches (medium);(c) along main stem (large).
Generally, the smaller the leaf is, the more potent it can be.
Petioles (leaf stalks). Same order as leaves.
Stems. Same order as leaves. The smaller the stem (twig), the higher the possible concentration of cannabinoids. Stems over 1/16" in diameter contain only traces of cannabinoids and are not worth smoking. The small stems that bear the flowers can be quite potent.
Seeds and Roots. Contain only traces (less then .01 percent) and are not worth smoking or extracting.

Actually Jack, it says that the smaller stems that hold the bud can be quite potent. I'll just toss the stalk... or make some rope! hah!

if you are making butter then just grind your stalks and sugar leaves and buds into one cup..mix 1 cup of ground cannabis with one pound of butter..cook for a few hours on low heat..strain through cheese cloth over water..let cool in fridge for a few hours and your good to do with the green butter what you want..be careful 1g servings per person will hit you hard..enjoy..
