yes it is.
so i was watching a jorge cervantes video and he stated "using a green lightbulb wont affect the dark period and you can put one in if you want to work on your plants while theyre in the dark" is this true?![]()
yes it is.
Same principle that allows photographers to use a red bulb when developing film.
If Jorge says so you can pretty much take it to the bank.
BigSteve.
It is true. Plants won't take in green light. But with that said. Try never to use them. I haven't found a green light that will show you the true spectrum the bulb puts out. So there is a chance it is giving a spectrum off that the plants do take in. Just because the glass is green dosnt mean it is blocking the red, white, blue, yellow colors emitted from sorce of the light

word thanks for the input, ill just avoid using lights in dark cycle i guess.
Sorry but untrue. I use a Hydro Farms green LED headlight ($13 from Amazon + S/H) and have zero hermie problems or anything else. I use them daily as my work schedule at 16 hours a day makes it as necessary as my timer bank. Buy the headlight and not the stupid 3 LED clip on unit for ball caps. Same price but the headlight has 17 LEDS, High/Low/Blinking (whatever the hell that is for except to induce seizures).
Aw did I hurt your little ass feelings, sweetheart?
Think again. It can be done safely and is.

I have six in my grow room in place of the normal lights that used to be there. I have never had a problem and swear by them. I just went to lowes and got green light bulbs.
