Hello! I was wondering if anyone had any experience or suggestions regarding simply growing a sapling clone plant on my patio, where other flowers (tulips, daffodils, lilies, jasmine, lavender, etc...) have flourished.

I've reviewed the GrowFAQ section, and most of it seems entirely complicated, growing indoors, plastics, special soils, lamps, greenhouses, yards, etc...Nothing there tells anything about just putting the plant in a pot, and sitting it on a porch.

I'm in Los Angeles, California where it is hot and sunny (no winter, no frost, very low humidity, intense sunlight, though the position of my porch has direct sunlight for only 6 to 8 hours of the day).
My boyfriend brought a 4" tall 'Granddaddy Purple' clone/sapling home from the farmacy (he has a marijuana prescription and can have plants legally-I don't smoke) and he expects me to grow it on the porch w/ my flowers.

Could I just put it in a planter, and let it naturally do its own thing? Or do I need all these special lamps, etc... We have great sun here, and I use 'Miracle Grow Moisture Control' soil, and 'Bloom Booster' flower food, which has worked wonderfully with the other flowers.

I want to keep this project as simple as possible, but I also don't want to kill the poor plant, and I also want it to produce buds, etc...Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and please, forgive my ignorance. Thanks.

put it in the planter and take good care of it. it is just another plant. if you put it out now it may start to flower because the nights are still long.

I would try to veg inside and then bring it out next month.

i threw a clone under floresecnts for 3 weeks then into a bag of soil and watered acordingly and got very decent buds no stem.Heres an older pic they look fuller now...Easy and low pro for sure i have 4 bags of soil{side by side} in a rubbermaid 22 gal .Theres no dranage but theyre happy as clams.Flowers are for ninjaness !
