150w vs 250w HPS

150 watts is hardly enough for one flowering plant, let alone 6. I use a 250 watt HPS and never run more than 2-3 plants at a time. If you are on a budget 150w is fine, but don't grow more than 1 plant at a time. Is there any particular reason you need 6 plants?

I would go with a T5 setup over a 150w. Majek is right about plant numbers to wattage.

3x2? Probably should get a 400w, or a 600w dimmable.

I realy must agree .. the T5HO would be my choise aswell in a room that small .. will be much more easy to controle temps and will also be much cheaper/safer ..

but agin .. it depense on what you want realy .. in terms of work .. money spend .. end product aso.

tho I find it hard to see how you would fit 6 plants in ther unless its small autos or 12/12 from seed in a sea of green ?
but then T5 would be kind a perfect since you realy dont need much penatration with small short plants .. then better avoyd high temps and high bills and a burnd down closed grow ..

you say its 2x3 feet .. then buy as many 2 feet T5HO 28W tubes you can fit in ther on the 3 feet lenght (I belive a nice 12 tube fixture would fit nicely but a 8 tube fixture could work if money is short .. around 150-200$ I belive you can get a nice one for)

thats just how I would do it .. knowing how much heat a HPS produce and what follows .. before your done with ventilations and fans aso. you could have got two nice T5HO fixtures ...

but do some more research and base your desission on it ..

I gotta disagree just a tad. I've grown 4 plants in 1 gal pots before under a 150W HPS in a 2x2 before. They weren't spectacular, but they yielded 1/2 each. That not impress anyone, but for a casual smoker, it keeps the cupboard full.

Oh, 12/12 from seed also.

If your only concern is heat, not money, I would go with a 600w HPS attached to an inline fan. Direct all of your heat outside the grow room and you'll be one happy camper come harvest time

150 watts is not enough light for 4 plants, that's why you only yielded a 1/2 oz each. You could potentially yield around 3-4 ounces from a single plant under a 150w hps in good growing conditions, but any more than 1 plant and they will be fighting over the light.

I've managed to yield an average of 5-6 ounces per plant under my 250w hps, but I usually only flower 2 at a time.
