Default help in cloning please help!

im about to clone my 1st plant,

i want to put it in my ready soil mix, composed of soil, perlite, cocobust, and compost.
(note: i haven't opened up my ready soil mix bag)

i want to ask if my cloned plant will live, i'll put a rooting hormone.

    another question
i dont have any dolomite lime and epsom salt,

will my plant still live and flower if i only water them and dont put nutes?
(i water with purified water or rain water, mostly rain water, but i don't put anything in my plants)

When I clone my plants i just put the cutting in a piece of rock wool that has no nutes or anything basically sterile. I only use rooting powder. Keep it under some kind humidity dome. I use a clear plastic container from some fried chicken at walmart lol. Keep the wool moist with ph balanced water and wait about 7 days and it should start to root.

Dome, Rapid rooters. Cut the big fan leaves tips by 30%. Mist the dome. Keep the humidity way up. Well dampened media but NOT soaked. One cheap cfl over it 24/7. You what the RH about 90% to start. It can't dry out as no roots to replace the water so the leaves need it. The cheap propagation kits with a high dome and heat mat work well. See Cevantez cloning vid on youtube. It tells it all. I like clonex gel. See the video first!!

Have a great one. Advice is for folks with a legal grow and worth what you paid for it.

Do everything trux and Coho said. When you take the cutting make sure you cut at 45 degree angle with a Sterile blade, be sure you are dipping a Node..not just a stem. As for no nutrients...can you live without food? you could probably go awhile.. but you would die eventually..(sorry if this analogy sounds harsh). You will need some form of nutrients though regardless of what kind it is organic, chemical derivative, etc. I do not do soil but The BC line ( BC Boost, BC Grow, and BC Bloom) from Technaflora is pretty easy to use and can be used for soil as well.

That will work too, I have used a gallon ice cream bucketed with a clear plastic over it, and worked
