hi all
this is my first grow from seeds and my plants are streching and not really bushing out. It's a strain called The Church, anybody got experience with them?
They are under 250w hps sunmaster, light is like 10-15 inches away from the tops, recently changed light times so the light stays on at night 18/6 (used to get pretty cold in there at night times and i heard big temp difference causes streching)
anyway, have a look and tell me what you think
p.s they're ~50 days old
I have never heard that heat causes stretch, it's usually the light being too high, your plants are 9 weeks old, I doubt that you could get them to bush out by now, the nodes are spaced too far apart.
I know you can veg with HPS ( that may be the reason ) but wouldn't it be better to use MH?
what i've read is that temp difference (hot days/cold nights) makes them strech... i don't have mh, so i use hps for both, any idea what should i do next? veg them some more or just start flowering?
I would flower now... I mean if you want you could carefully bend the tops down so they aren't the highest part of the plant anymore, causing it to bush out a little... but this might take away from your main cola, so I'd just flower as-is.
