    Default newbie grower seeking advice

i have 2 plants growing under 2 32 watt T8 florescent bulbs in a 4'x2' space. Watering them roughly every other day, depending on how dry the soil is. They are in 1 foot pots filled with miracle gro potting soil. They havent been givin any nutes or fert. They are about 7 weeks old and 3 days into flowering on a 12-12 light cycle. They just seem very lanky and the leaves keep turning a full 90 degrees randomly. any help is appreciated I'll be posting pics, soon. hopefully tonight btw they are 15" and 13" tall and about 12" wide

Not experienced with t8s how many lumens does it put out? Tall and lanky usually means the plants are stretching for lights. Maybe you have the bulbs too far away? Pics would help tell between normal lankiness(if it's a sativa) and light stretching.

Jman23 is right, that's not a lot of light man..and it might be too far away aswell so that doubles your broblem, try adding some more lights if you can, those tubes can almost touch the pkants so you can lower them, cfl do get hot but a few inches away will be perfect! Try adding soil if its strching too much

they are literally searching for light. Leaves will bend any way they can to find it. If you have very little money add another one of them t8 shoplights to the top and 3 43W CFl's to each side of the plant, basically surround the plant with light. If you have enough money...invest in a 150w hps for $75 on amazon....Since they are in flower and in MG soil don't add anything with nitrogen or your leaves will start to claw at week 2-3 of flower. Find a good potassium/phosphorous only bloom nute and use that at 1/4 strength until buds start to form then bump it up to half strength and stay there til flush only feeding every 3rd watering. MG soil has some micronutes in it but to supplement add 1-2 tbsp/gallon of water of grandma's molasses per feeding. It has calcium, magnesium, potassium and iron in it and gives a carbo load to your plants which helps their health overall. I have a ton of experience with miracle grow soil and know exactly what to expect at every stage of the grow from it. Do it right and you can have some nice bud, do it wrong...and you will end up with a pile of burnt leaves stems and red hairs lol.
