When counting the number of days in a grow are we to go by the germination start date or the date seed was placed in grow medium?

likely from germination. Does it really matter, its not that exact a number anyway.

Life begins at conception. That means you start counting as soon as you get the idea in your head.

Well, since it was asked, I would say germination. Although, I guess one could argue that it starts when water meets seed and cell division starts.

LOL... thanks for the answers, I was generally asking just for my journal entries. This way I can have a rough idea of where and about what stages I'm in.

the way i figure is as follows:

-when it pops the soil i call it a seedling for about a week.

-then its starts veg. for about 6 to 7 weeks for me but however long a veg. you want.

-then start 12/12 for flower and if its an 8 week strain, i usually flower for 9 weeks. sometimes longer if i dont have plants ready to go in the flower room.
