A few (stupid) questions!

As for the lighting it depends on what you wanna do?
Are you doing a small grow, large grow, in a room a cabinet what?
If you have space to work with I would use LED or plasma lighting, as for the light cycle it depends how big your
Plant can be. Just know that when you switch to 12/12 for flower your plant will double in size so make sure you have the space.

a bunch of people here(including me) are growing 12/12 light cycle right from seeds, it will grow a smaller plants and it's much easier for a first grow as well. the 12/12 switch is your call, anytime you want really...

I was thinking of 12 plants, so it is still classed as personal usage by our laws. So I guess thats a small grow really, LED lights sound easy/cheap to use, any suggestions which to buy?

Another question... Would I need cooling with 12 plants?

Also should I grow in soil or 'hyrdo'? I know it stands for hydroponics but doesn't it use a medium to grow in? Just water?

wait what? since when is it legal to grow ganja in the UK ?!

light bulb is how a matter of how big your wallet is and how big space you got. if you use HPS bulbs you can go with the same lights all through the grow.

man you can just put the seed directly into the soil if you want. or you could put the seeds in a glass of water and wait for it to germinate. or put them in a moist paper towel and just wait for the tail to show.

you shouldnt have a light cycle of 24 h lights. weed needs dark periods to grow. (debateable) i would recomend 18/6 periods

lookie here . about the 12/12 question. lets say you want you plant to be like 10 inches in the end, you switch your light schedule to 12/12 when its about 5 inches tall. cannabis plants tend to grow to twice its size when switched to flower mode. if its a sativa i recomend a shorter veg period as them suckas grow taaaall like hell.

ok ok so thats how it is ^^ you should get a cooltube if you plan on gettin a HPS bulb. cause i know the police be flying around with them heatcameras
