    Default Light help

This is my second grow, my first grow I used three cool white CFL bulbs all the way till harvest. Im wanting to have a consistent supply so Im gonna have a vegging room and flowering room, so now I have a few questions. I was gonna order a red led light from ebay for the flowering room, but would that be enough?http://www.ebay.com/itm/24-LED-HR16-...#ht_2133wt_788 The link is the light I want to get, but should I have a cool white cfl along with the red led, or would the led work by itself? I see a lot of red and blue mixtures in different led grow lights, but i can only get one bulb. So if the blue light is essential and I cant get it, is it ok to put the cool white in with it?

To be honest, I really do not think that would be a strong enough lamp system to go and use for your grow... unless you use hundreds of them. More lumens=more bud. Why only one bulb?
It was all a dream. I frequent many forums that are unrelated to my business, work and hobbies. I have no affiliation with cannabis.

Dude! you want to grow Cannabis, but know nothing about the basic of all things..LIGHT????? Go buy a Cannabis grow book and do some reserch. This is not something you can jump right into. If you cant figure out lighting you have a major uphill battle!

That light will work great if all you wanted was a tree in your front yard to be lit up at night or if you need some extra mood lighting near your swimming pool. For your cannabis plants I wouldn't personally use anything under a 400 watts HPS, which is able to throw roughly 50,000 lumens. A single 300 watt CFL bulbs, which is the highest wattage I've ever seen, will throw out 15,000 lumens. So maybe two or three 300W CFL bulbs or a dozen regular 100w equivalent bulbs might do it. But by then you just over spend and made it way more complicted then just buying a 400 W HPS.

Here's a site that has good prices on bulbs: http://www.lightbulbsurplus.com and for HPS lights look at http://www.discount-hydro.com/catego...hting-Systems/

Whichever setup you decide on, expect to invest around $150.00 to $200.00.

These were grown with 3 26w CFLs. Its only a couple cause the pics are so far down in my pictures on my phone I got tired of trying to find them all. But as you can see I put two plants in one pot, beforehand I read about not doing that but I didnt listen and I learned the hard way. They both produced some good bud, but I would have gotten more if I were to have seperated them.

I know it looks kinda ghetto with the pink tape and mylar missing on the back, but my cat got really curious of the smell and eventually got the cabinet door open and while she was playing in there she ruined that sheet I had in the back. It turned out ok though.
