Okay, I tried to avoid asking questions, didn't want to sound like a dumbass...but, I figured EVERYONE has to start SOMEWHERE...
So, my question is: I have one plant that is really doing VERY well. Its big, nice leaves, nice size. The other one is at the same stage the big plant was 3 weeks ago, and has been through the very same things as the bigger plant. For the same amount of time. Is there a reason why one plant would be significantly bigger than the other, when the strains are the same and I haven't done ANYTHING different to either one? (yeah, I'm only growing two for the time being. I know, they might be males, but this is an experiment to see if I can do it or not) |

if one is more advanced than the other to that extent then there is a chance the bigger one is male, they mature and flower faster than the females in order to propergate as soon as the females are ready to take pollen.
Then again, some plants just take longer than others- especially if the strain is somewhat unstable and the plants are not homogeneous. |

i currently have 5 females going, and one of them has always been much smaller than the others. she's been under the exact same conditions, she's happy and healthy, she's just little and is progressing a little more slowly. i'm no expert but i've always assumed it's genetic.

Hmmm. I hope its not a male. Its doing SO much better than the other plant.
But hey, this was just a practice round anyway. I barely expected them to take off! I will let you guys know if it ends up being a male, for sure. |
