I agree with u like always Scrog, that is my main reason for always growing in soil even in the past when I could afford to go out and drop some serious money on a hydro set up I would still grow in soil. IDK if I'm just a picky bastard or maybe its just in my head but for me I think I can tell the difference between hydro or soil grown herb, mainly in the flavor of the smoke. So do u consider the FF grow big and tiger bloom as one of those ferts u dislike?

i dislike any fert that costs money, so i'm a biased opinion on that one. i pick up coffee, tea, manure, etc. free on C/L, compost it, and feed it to worms. that's my ferts.
a rich, lively micro-herd is the key to good plants, and big yields, imo.

Well would it count as costing money if I have to by my worms cause I want to compost indoors.

worms are a great investment, but i don't keep them indoors. i'm lucky, i have an empty lot we own, next to the house. indoor worms = bugs
i have enough problems growing in a mite-infested dungeon:)

that'll work, exept in the winter. i dump my worms into a compost pile for the Winter, and there's more in there in the Spring than i put in there. i'm spoiled. don't wanna hijack dude's thread.

Interesting so do u still have different compost heaps with different materials or do u just use the same stuff for veg and flowering? Also so when ur just using all organic stuff like that doesn't it prevent nute burn cause there aren't any of those chelated metals or EDTA?

Lol you organic fanatics crack me up some times. The only difference in my Jungle Juice and your bat shit smoothie is that you and your plants have to work harder to get the nutrients. Nitrogen, phosphorus..ect. are elements. Plain and simple, regardless of whether they were created in a lab or the bowels of a bat. Also it is impossible to force feed a plant! What my hydro does is provide optimal conditions with all the oxygen & nutrients the plant needs which naturally causes them to thrive and produce massive yields that your Organic feces infested E-coli bushes couldn't dream of creating. And as far as toxic, I use no pesticides or chemicals on my girls. I'd put my bud against yours in a lab test any day and but my crop that yours would be the toxic ones. You know how many people have died from eating organic lettuce teaming with E-coli? If you enjoy your Organics more power to you. Just don't think it makes you special and grants you some right to talk smack to me or to anyone else who doesn't agree with your school of thought. I posed a question about hydroponics and how to flush. Obviously you know nothing about what I asked, so why would you feel the need to shoot your ignorant mouth off?

Nature creates a balance but people trying to put nature into a pot in the spare bedroom don't always achieve that balance. You can burn plants just as easy with Organics as with any other fertilizer. Burn is caused by an abundance of one element or another, and also by drastic increases in available nutrients.

Well you have asked and it was answered those of us who are organic fanatics are just as proud of our bat shit as you are of your jungle juice we never need to be upset with each other we all seek the same goal fat dense danky buds now the fact that one acts in haste and did nothing to edit his thoughts does nothing to remove decorum this thread was about helping a friend with a problem is it a female with that thought in hand we have still tried to accommodate you sorry someone said something you didn't like but don't lump us all together remember all stains started from a seed in the dirt call us cheap dumb dirty whatever but most of our group have just one wish to be one with the plant sorry to hijack your thread and GL ON THE Growin

I'll tell you the one thing they can't recreate in the lab. Willow water! That stuff is mother natures organic steroids for plants. For all my plants soil & hydro I start with willow water whether I'm adding nutes or not. If you've never tried it, find a willow tree and make some. I've grown one plant with it & one without. Everything else the same and the plant that had willow water was double the size and healthier.

All you do is find a willow tree, any willow variety. Cut a bunch of the branches that hang down. You want them up to about the thickness of a pencil. Strip any leaves or fuzzy buds off them. Take a pair of shears and cut them into about 1/2" lengths and put them in a bucket. I use 1gal buckets and fill them 1/4-1/3 of the way with the cut pieces and fill if with water. Let it sit overnight and strain out your anabolic plant juice! You can refill it with water using the same branch pieces and make multiple batches from the same branch pieces. It will be strong the first batch and get weaker as you go. I usually cut it 50/50 with plain water the first batch or 2. Unless it will be used for clones. I use full strength from the first batch on clones. I use rooting gel but then only willow water and get roots showing from the sponge cubes at 10-11days. After a couple days start over fresh to avoid any fungus or mold that can develop. It keeps in the fridge a week or more and freezes for longer. If you email me a dicksmushrooms@gmail I'll send you the pics. Once you try it you'll never go without it again.

Bet you've got a park nearby or a neighbour that'll let you prune his for him. Check CL also. People offer them on there sometimes because people use them for crafts and things because they are so flexible.

Can anyone explain to me what 'CL' stands for?
