    Default Question about Organic and no organic nutes

    Okay so I'm a noob and in preparation I bought the earth juice line up and the FF line up. I have been doing something like

    1st watering = EJ grow, microblast, catalyst
    2nd watering = Water
    3rd watering = FF grow big
    4th = water
    Rinse and repeat minus the micro blast since that's once every 2 weeks

    Is this okay? I figured it would keep salt build up to a minimum and couldn't think of much harm it would do, but as i said I am a noob and this is all still new to me. The plants seem to be doing good here's a link to some pics on my other thread .

    Why would you switch throughout a grow, If FFGrow big is not organic then you waste your money everytime you apply EJ. I use EJ and it does a good job. EJ doesn't contain salt. the best advice I could give you would be to use each nutrient line exclusively on one plant and after two grows decide which you like more.

    Do one or the other, don't mix.

    Or, you can keep doing it and learn from experience.

    Not just the chem/organic deal, but mixing different nute lines in general.

    Only inorganic nutes generally contain salts and have problems with buildup. You guys don't know what you're talking about with FFGrow -- I have used it before and it is not OMRI organic but it is pretty close and doesn't have salt buildup issues. It is not an inorganic chemical fert. It is made with guanos and such. FFGrow is really good in 2nd month of veg when the plants are taking off -- it will create big green plants. So depends on your goal -- if you want to be 100% organic, don't use FF. If mostly organic is fine, it is fine. Foxfarms bloom (not tiger bloom) is 100% organic. Tiger bloom is not. I don't use FF anymore because I try to stay as organic as possible, but there is nothing wrong with FF at all as long as you don't mind that it's not "100%" organic. It is not the same thing as the other non-organic nutes.

    As far as how often you can water vs. feed that all depends on your plants needs. Most organic fertilizers are very gentle and once your plants are old enough you can use them almost every watering if you have room for them to grow that much. I don't use full ferts every watering pretty much only because I can't afford my plants to get too big in veg I use Pure Blend & Pure Blend Pro. I use the regular PB every watering for slow growth and the PBP when I want them to get bigger or if they are showing N deficiency that the regular PB isn't taking care of. They would take PBP's full grow formula every watering if I let them.

    Of course it depends on plant age gotta be sure your plants are old enough before giving nutes... but after that point.... it also depends on the individual plant some plants don't like a lot of nutes, some will take all you give them.
