hey everyone,

couple questions about lst and topping

-If you top your plant to get 4 main colas can you also lst the plant to get an even bigger yield?

-Can you top a clone to get 4 colas?

-When should you start to lst?

-When should you stop lst?

-When you top a plant to get 4 colas will it eat more since it has alot more bud mass to put on?

You should LST if you're gonna veg for a few months and LST especially if it's stretching a lot. LST forms a nice knuckle at the damage site and a denser bud closer to the knuckle.
Uncle Ben's method for two or four main colas works better on seed grown plants than clone grown ones. You may never need to LST. it al depends how the plant grows. If it wants to grow one central huge cola will you top it? I wouldn't. So my advice is to watch it grow and stretch and then mb use a technique I use. LST and super crop. it keeps real uniform canopy height. I'm not at my computer ATM. So I can't upload a pic. But you either tie the stem, snap or bend the stem or anchor it with a long wire. I've snapped stems almost clean off but taped it back together with scotch tape. I do the bending and snapping near lights off so they don't get stressed out.
