Question about Seeds

well if the seeds are mature enough go for it if u know that they are from a good strain
squeeze the seeds to see if they r viable

those seeds will either grow into fems or hermis so either way u will get bud

Are these seeds good to use???

I'm just starting my 3rd grow and this round im going from clones that i got from a friend but i have all these seeds now and this is a great strain so ide like to save them if they're viable to use for later growing

This reminds me of the teenage girl claiming she had no idea how she got pregnant!

seeds didn't appear from nute burn, overwatering, or anything like that. They appeared because your female plant was fertilized by male pollen!

Either the male pollen came from a male plant you overlooked, from hermaphrodite male flowers that appeared on one of more of your plants, from leftover "contaminant" male pollen from a previous grow, or from "stray" pollen carried in the air from some OTHER nearby male plant. Its probably a good idea for you to figure out which of these things happened, to help prevent it from happening again later.

Are the seeds good to use?

First of all, you have to let them mature on the plant, or they probably won't be viable. Harvest normally, THEN pick the seeds.

If you do this, then yes, the seeds "should" be good to use, with two caveats:

*IF* the seeds came from hermaphrodite male parts on one of your plants, then they are likely to be "all female" seeds. That's good. . .BUT, these all female plants will carry the hermaphrodite trait, and themselves might be hermaphroditic again. That's not so good.

Next, if the plants really were fertilized by an unknown male plant, then your seeds will literally represent "bastard" plants with 'absent' fathers! You have no idea if the father was a cannabis cup award winning medical strain grown stealthily by some neighbor down the road, or if the father was a "ditchweed" hemp plant containing zero THC. So the cannabis plants you grow from these seeds could be excellent. . .or they could be lousy.

If you have the seeds, and the ability to do so, it couldn't hurt to try growing just a FEW seeds to see if the plants themselves are any good.

i checked regular for bananas or male sacks, I never saw any. I did notice a couple little white flowers (really little) while trimming, so Hermie plant?
Again, this was only my second grow and I'm still learning about everything, that little list was mainly there to show that it was not the best of growing conditions.

Most of the seeds i have plucked outta the buds so far have been a dark brown color and nice and hard. few white seeds i guess to be premature?

Another question: I took a clone to turn into a mother plant, will this clone also grow these seed pockets or should i start over with a new mother plant?

To answer these questions:

I don't know what you mean by "little white flowers", but if you saw round or banana-shaped sacs, you had a hermaphrodite plant. Male flowers look somewhat like female flowers but they lack the pistils ("white hairs") and tend to grow in small clusters.

Large dark seeds are good and "should" be viable. Small pales ones are immature, and are considerably less likely to germinate. Note that its quite possible for one "slut" female plant to be fertilized by MORE than one father and create normal mature seeds that actually look different from one another!

Again, if you are cloning a female plant then the only way the new clone plant will give you seeds is if its female flowers are exposed to male pollen. This could be either from male flowers growing on the same plant (eg a "hermie"), from contaminating leftover pollen in the area from a previous grow, or from a nearby male plant (indoors or outdoors).

Note that since pollen can be carried quite far by the wind, "nearby" could be up to miles away.

I'd say if you otherwise like the product from the first plant, its fine to keep clones from it. Even if you get a few seeds, so what? So long as you don't plan on selling the product, you can just pick them out before smoking.
