So I want to paint the inside of my reflector flat white top increase its reflectivity.. its just raw aluminum colored now... only thing is, i dont know if it will get too hot in there, seeing as how the bulb will be a few inches away.. its a coolable reflector, tho, so maybei illl be good..

anyways, do any of you more experienced folks think i should go through with this? Im using a 1000 hps inside an 8" circular ducting piece (2' long)

leave it the way it is.

aluminum surface will reflect more light than white.

bad idea,karyannebanks is right.
if you do paint it, get paint for fireplaces/b-b-q's(any paint made for heat)
normal house paint, isnt going to cut it and will burn off.
