I repotted my plants about a week ago in clear rubbermaid containers. Now I am wondering if light will affect the roots? If so i can cover the containers.

i like clear cups cuz u can see the progression of the roots thru the soil, altho some are against see thru containers.

I heard you are not to use clear... and i cant for the life of me remember the reason.

some peeps say the roots become distracted by the light passing thru the cup, tho ive never had that problem.

SWIM used clear containers and had a problem with roots not growing. Since that time, SWIM uses black 3 gal bags, which keep the roots in darkness

Don't use clear containers! The light damages the roots - cover them up.
