Week 15 and mhy trichromes are still clear. Wtf????

Im on week 15 now and the buds are so heavy they are breaking the branches but my trichs are still almost all clear. What gives? I have green dragon, nyc diesel and Chemdog. I have them on 400w hps on 10, off 14 hrs and well ventilated. I can post pics later if that would help.
Am I doing something wrong or is it just too cold in CA, its about ~50 in the room but the fresh air intake is probably ~30 at night.

I hate how people think its all about trichs. Some go amber after 4 weeks, some never go amber. Need pic

That's a bold statement considering that's what most, if not everyone is taught to look for. I have personally never heard anyone say some strains NEVER go amber. It could be that they took 20 weeks to finish, or maybe 24 weeks. You don't know. But the way you state it, is like it's common knowledge or something.

Its all about learning how to read plants and understanding when they are nearing the end of their life. Its all experience. ie they start pulling nutrients from the leafs and the calyxs are swollen as they are going to get. Never used a scope, never ph'd and never had a bad smoke. People set things in stone, like u need to wait till 50% amber trich or wait until all the hairs have turned red. Its all bullshit. Anyway theres me going off on one. lol

Juding by the picture and it ain't the best, that plant has stretched like hell. I take it your using CFL's. Defo not enough light and you will prob find the trichs will never go amber. I would just chop and start again. Upgrade your light to HPS or HID and you will see massive differences and better results. Good luck
