what temp is a "cool place"? I was under the impression cause I softened 2 seeds up in water then planted in soil 2 days ago that I need no light yet just a warm place between 72-80f now that I planted the other 2 beans that germinated this am and put them in the same room...still keeping the light off waiting to sprout out of soil....have kept the soil moist but not soaking wet ....

thx fairly new to all of this

Just do what you are doing they should be great! A ziplock bag is not such a bad idea either. It will help raise the rh but not too tight they still need fresh air intake.

im not flooding the cups but im drizzling water over every 6 hours it seems, how often should these cups be watered i think the jiffy cup itself is absorbing alot of it

Not to doubt anyone. I give my pre-sprouts and seedlings just enough water around the seed or the stem to keep them moist. If the soil is allowed to dry a small bit the roots will grow out in search of moisture. I give them only about a shot glass or so of water every other day for the first week or so. Also if you have the zip locks on them, hey are holding plenty of moisture I am sure. Did I say something about pics?

thats fine like someone else said i would have waiting a tad longer before planting but thats just me... and yea everything sounds fine. and as bkb said the roots will search for moisture so let it dry
