Default Couple of Questions
hello all im new here and will be growing for medicinal purposes, first of all when making clones after they root in rockwool can you plant them into soil? if so how would you go about doing this? and also ive never grew a plant into budding, how strong is the odor of a budding plant? having odor is not a problem but for my own reasons is it to much to smell constantly?

Default rockwool is a substitute for soil
why would you want to transfer into soil? rockwool is one of the best (aside from hyrdoponics) ways to grow weed. it holds water, it keeps the roots aerated, dirt has bugs, mold, diseases, rootrot and a bunch of other things not good. and it's heavy and messy, too. I am growing in soil, I wish I could ge my hands on rockwool, I'd much rather use that.
As to smells, i am into my 5th day of flowering. the smell is like hay and sweet grassy pot mixed. to me it's nice, but I must use air fresheners at all times so the smell stays in check. It's not too bad, I have 19 plants in an unused basement closet. down here I could care less about the odor, but upstairs my roomies are complaining (?) of the smell, it is noticeable if you knowwhat to smell for there is a defininite lingering pot odor in the background). otherwise, it's just a sweet, grassy smell. in a room in an apartment, say, yeah you might need an ionizer or room deodorizer or something similar

1. Yes, you can transplant the rooted plant into soil ... RockWool and all.

2. Odor will depend upon the strain. Some strains have very little odor and others will drive you out of the house ... and you can smell it down the driveway and into the street. In that case, a good carbon filter, properly installed is the way to go.

fill the planter with your soil mix, dig a hole in the middle, and pop the rockwool in the hole. pack the soil firm, but not hard around the stem, completely burring the rockwool

about the smell in the show weeds (dont flame me) they were talking about the smell out side and ended up planting plants around the house to off set the smell. does anyone know if this would really work?
