what is best cfl or HPS MH

Hi totally knew to this game which would produce betta results using soil......CFL Blue Vegging then Red Flowering or Metal Halide Clear 400w Vegging then a 4oow ClearHigh Pressure Sodium Flowering??....any help would b appreciated....Cheers

MH and HPS hands down. Everyone else will tell you the same.

for a all in one, you can't beat a 400 watt ceramic metal halide

I had started my seedlings under a cfl to begin (as was led to believe this would b 2 strong 2 start with)and they are now around 10 days old is this too soon to put these under a 400w clear Mh???If i can put them under MH how far away should lights b??

the only thing is that you really need to be careful of heat, you pretty much need some sort of ventalation if your growing in a closet or something with any HID lighting. the props to the cfl's is almost no heat off those suckers.

I've used a 250W MH from seedling and always got great results; just make sure you have proper ventilation with a fan oscillating the air helping disperse the heat from the HID and keep at a proper distance and you should be fine.

just checked them there and leaves are dried up put them back under a cfl.....i hope i have not killed it. I think they were 2 young and the 400w MH was 2 strong as I have them in a small space.....nitemare
