Wattage questions. Please help.

is (2) 600w HPS lights enough for a 4x8 grow room? Plants will be vegged for 4-6 weeks, will have 10-12 plants total. and is 1600w noticeable to the power company? will that throw any red flags? Whats the most watts you can push in a house thats lived in, without throwing red flags? Thanks for all the advice

As long as you pay the bill they don't care. A lot of things like a jacuzzi take equal amounts of power. What you might need to check is how much amperage you have on that circuit. You don't want to be blowing the circuit your lights are on when someone uses a hair dryer. I had an electrician put in a dedicated circuit and lots of outlets in my grow area.
