Hello all. I've got a first time grow going on here, and about 3 weeks in I hope posting a thread and starting a journal may help my plants make it out alive. I've got some pics on here, the tallest plant is about 6 inches tall. Right now they get 18/6 lighting from a 600W metal halide bulb. The system is an ebb and flow type and I have just started watering once a day. Before I was watering once every two days to avoid overwatering. I am feeding them a 1/2 strength nutrient solution from a 10 gal. reservoir, changing it about every two weeks.

I plan on switching to my 600W HPS light when they get about 9 inches tall, but I'm not sure if I switch to a 12/12 light cycle then or when they get taller.

If anybody has any advice about how to make this a success and help me avoid any beginner mistakes that would be AWESOME!!!

So once I get them about 9 inches tall, and I switch to HPS light, should I maintain 18/6 light cycle until they get about 3ft tall. Then do I switch to a 12/12 to get them to bud? How exactly do I time changing the light type, and the light cycle to get them to start budding at 3ft tall? Anybody?
