Stem bulges??

I have a a-train 4-5 weeks old shes pretty healthy i got her from a club so im pretty sure its a girl but i just noticed some bulges on the stem and would like to kno what you guys think it could be.i was thinking maybe cuz it has 2 branches growing from the spots were the bulges are idk??

Its is common, never really knew why they do it, maybe just to make sure that heavy bud on that branch isn't going to break the joint.

you are correct this is referred to as a node.

its reinforcement for the branch, since 2 nodes need more strngth. just cuz when you smoke it YOU get stupid dont mean the plants stupid
