Looking for advice on the above question...

I will be venting heat exhaust from the reflector to the attic, so HOPEFULLY heat won't be a problem.

Right?

Would a 400w or 600w be best for that amount of space?

more is better, and your yield will probably be bigger. go for the bigger watt especially if heat is not an issue.
