Hello, This is my 1st post/question, 1st indoor grow.
From emergence, I'm at 3 to 3.5 weeks, plants are right at 8 inches now, starting on stages 5/6 of leaf growth. I there any optimum size that the plant should be before changing the flowering light cycle?? Obvioulsly I want the most bud possible.....I would imagine that the bigger the plant, the more shoots, the more bud??? I am just curious if there was an average size that people typically change light cycles at... I would appreciate any advice possible. Thanks, ~Outlaw~

it really depends on your space available and the amount of light you can give them. Most plants will atleast double in size after you put them in flower. Also bigger plant does not always mean bigger buds, that depends a lot on the light. If you're using a low watt light you could get less buds off a bigger plant.

Ok, thanks for the reply....I have an entire extra bedroom in my house, so space is no big deal...covering the smell may be (I have no close neighbors and live in the country). Right now I'm using a 250W HPS about 6"-8" from plants....doesn't seem too hot, they appear to be doing well. I have a 600W HPS that I am planning on using soon.(Have several 1000W units if needed)
I have 24 plants, hoping 50% or so will be female. I will probably wait till they are around 16"-18" before I introduce flowering cycle.....If they double in size, that would be roughly 3 feet tall (Seems managable for inside grow I think).
I am also wondering about using an Ozone/Ionizer that I ordered to cover/eliminate smell. Is there any harm in using this within the house? Not sure weather to use it isolated inside growroom or for masking the sent through-out rest of the house..... I appreciate your suggestions.....Thanks, ~Outlaw~
