how would i be able to power a computer fan to provide ventilation? the only way i no how to run a comp fan is hooking up to the motherboard.

Find a 12v DC (Some AC's work) power supply, they are pretty commonplace with gadgets. They usually have the really fat plugs, and it will say 12v on it. Splice the wires, connect everything up, plug it in, and your fan awaits.

Use the power supply out of a computer, works like a charm. You can also power any other small DC things you my have in your grow room with it also.

yup...Old phone charger, they are usually only 9v but thats enought ot get a certain amount of air movement..

i got n old mobile phone charger chopped the end off, chopped the end off the comp fan,(i have 2 pc fans running off 1 12v plug) connected the wires!! Lovely!

i got mine connectcted to a multivolt adapter 3 - 12v i can now control the speed of the fans works nice
