Your going to need some dirt and pots maybe you have at home but heres list:
CFL Light bulbs 200watts or more $20
Soil $10
24 hour automated timer $5
Light bulb holder (round) $10
Thermometer/Humidity $5
Extension cables $8
Nutrients -$10
Lymar- $25 (or white copy paper to reflect light)
And seeds. Depending on what you want to grow but these are the basics. Eventually you will need to upgrade your gear. But basically you want to germinate your seeds first which is placing them on a damp piece of napkin inside a sealed container then place another one over it. In about 1 day or two they sprout then plant them root side down.
Everything I say and post isn't real. I am only saying all of this to be cool and i definitely do not grow or smoke marijuana.

There are three fundamental decisions you must make in setting up a small indoors grow.
Grow spaceI assume you have already chosen your grow space?
Light
Grow Medium
In an MJ closet everything is centered around the light. The size of the closet and the cooling system that you use and your budget. will limit the size of the light.
A 400W MH will cover a 3'x'3 canopy giving about 200g of bud every harvest, even a lot more in the hands of a skill full grower. A unit like that can be bought for about $150 - $250.
The other big decision is the grow medium. Soil, coco coir or one of the several varieties of hydro.
Like the others said above, to give you useful advice we need to know something about your budget, your grow space and your choice of grow medium. It would also help some to know what is the minimum you need in terms of yield, i.e. 1oz per month 1oz per week ...
Apart from the choice of light, the stuff in RollMeOne's list is pretty standard to all grows, but there are quite a few more items and many of them depend on your choices above.

Every cent i get is going towards this, so i get payed around 300 dollars every two weeks. The closet has to be around 6x6, and to be honest I would like to yield as much as possible from the plants i grow so i want the best affordable equipment till i get my first haverst. Then with the proceeds from my yield i will upgrade my grow room.
