And leave it for 24 hours to allow the chlorine to evaporate. In this 24 hours the PH rises from 7.2 to 7.7.

I would also recommend finding the EC or PPM reading of your tap water and the PH of it.

I water at 6.3 with mineral nutrients in soil and 6.5-6.8 in soil with organic nutrients.
