so i need to get a ph tester for my water and I need to get something to raise and lower the ph what store can i get this stuff at? and what specific products should i get i'm growing in soil now? I'm looking to go to maybe a regular store that has a gardening section but if need be i know my local hydro store has ph up and ph down

also new to this but you can get a ph test kit pretty much anyplace that sales pet/aquarium supplies, they normally have a kit that incldes the test and ph up and down solution my tap water has a high ph I learned reading here that white vinegar works to bring it down I have used that method so far with no complaints hope this helps

petsmart might be a place to get what your looking for
or a pool supply place..
but im not sure pool chemicals are the best to do that with

in my pool i use muriatic acid to lower ph...
and some other harsh stuff.. to lower it...

but i wouldnt bet my crop on those fixes.. hopefully someone with better knowledge will help out..

any indoor garden/hyroponic store will have many meters for a variety of prices for sale as well as pH up/down.

though i'm surprised that the pet store didn't understand what you meant by pH test kit for aquariums - those are pretty common - same with swimming pools.
